After School Specials Never Warned Me About This

In the past 4 days, the hardest thing about being pregnant is quitting caffeine right when you need it most. I stopped drinking coffee regularly since we started trying to conceive but I do usually drink green tea in the mornings. Well lately with buying a new house and everything I’ve noticed I’ve been more tired than usual, so I’ve been drinking (just one cup) coffee every day until Monday when I found out the real reason I’ve been so tired lately. So Tuesday I broke down and had tea and half a cup of coffee (still in shock really). Tuesday was also the day I was the most tired. Wednesday I just had some tea (chai), but by Thursday I was completely off the caffeine and managed to drink only decaf black tea I found in the bottom of my drawer.

So I went to the store and stocked up on decaf which I’m totally loving right now. I know it has some minimal amounts of caffeine, but I think my body is mostly just used to the routine of drinking tea every morning. With a little motivation I managed to do what I could never do, quite coffee cold turkey.
